WELLSPRING
PROGRAMS & FEATURES

Our dynamic theme based programs ensure that all our members are engaged, regardless of ability level. Each day our members learn and develop a number of skills, journey with friends, and make memories together.

We understand that independent living is a life goal for some of our members and their loved ones. Therefore, several of our programs are designed to promote independence in many areas of life. These include cooking, cleaning, hygiene, TTC travel and safety, grocery shopping, budgeting, internet safety,

Our community partners help some of our members facilitate job training, find volunteer opportunities, job placements, and housing.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING

★★★★★

The experiences that Jules and I have shared with The Spring have been very good. We love the therapeutic environment staff has created for participants. Jules looks forward to attending. Jules enjoyed designing and creating the planted aquarium which was most thought provoking and sensory for him. The photo album put together by staff with pictures of Jules and other participants was a nice touch, he does not seem to go anywhere without it. Jules’ favourite pictures are those where he is cooking. He is also very proud of his artwork that he brings home. Thank you to The Spring for the comfortable and safe environment that you have created with a body of staff that are caring, knowledgeable and professional. To conclude the element of The Spring that resonates most with me is that all individuals have the potential to learn, and will receive the support and encouragement they need to reach their goals.

Working with The Wellspring Centre has been very successful as they focus on making sure the people they support achieve overall success and joy, while gaining self-confidence in their education and life-skills. Furthermore, it is an absolute blessing to know a team of workers who value positivity and commitment to make a difference in someone’s life.

The staff and leaders at The Spring have big hearts and will go above and beyond to help Eric and all the other participants. We are especially interested in their academic component and look forward to their volunteer involvement in the community. The cooking lessons each Friday is a plus as well.

WHAT tHE COMMUNITY

IS SAYING

★★★★★

I was delighted to visit The Wellspring Centre, a local hub here in my riding of Scarborough-Rouge Park, that helps support young adults with disabilities. From the team, the facility, and the programs, The Wellspring Centre helps young adults with disabilities thrive in their environment, learn new skills, and build the confidence they need to become more independent. I would like to thank The Wellspring Centre team and community members for supporting people with disabilities to grow and help ensure that they achieve their fullest potential.
